Both of my poems concern the notion of childhood and the affect of vivification on that childhood. However, they both express completely different focus of views - Rising five uses the stem of a child to examine how children treasure aliveness so much more than adults. Charles Causleys poem uses the child to show how ontogenesis up can teach children to treasure action - both are valid arguments. On reading the send-off stanza of Rising Five, I could touch the excitement and energy of the boy. He is set forth by use vibrant images of bouncing curls and toffee-buckled cheeks to show his energy, and beget the poem a light and happy tone. Not four, but ascension five shows how much this boy enjoys e very new minute of life, and is very proud of the item he is almost five - he is alive in hope of the future. The focus of the second stanza of Rising five is on temper and growth. The sequence is the discontinue of spring -but not quite spend as it is the season after blossoming. This shows the boys inquisitive nature, first shown by his spectacles, brimful of eyeball to stare as he is interested in the little things in life - the details of the flowers blossoming. He dormant notices the things many adults hold up for granted.
The tone of this stanza is of amazement and wonder, the populace around him is so industrious and exciting, as nature is palpitation off winter and bosom new life. Just as nature is embarking on a new session of growth, so too is the boy get-go a new contour of learning and growth in his life.
